GROUP ALBUM from this past weekend: Did a point to point backpacking trip this weekend with a group of friends, Started at the Ira Springs Trailhead, went up to Mason Lake, Rainbow Lake, and Island lake. lots of snow still in the area and had to double back a couple times to find the proper trail. Took a long break before heading to Pratt lake for the first night. Made our way to Lower Tuscohatchie Lake, and then off to Melakwa Lake. Set up camp, dropped packs, and hiked up to the Upper Melakwa Lake and up to the top of the ridge. Had a fun slide down back to camp. Went and did a loop around the lake later on and then scrambled up another rockfield to get a sunset shot and see how far up the ridge was. Every directions was gorgeous views for miles. Came across the hoards of tourists at Denny Creek on the way down and saw plenty of people going up with no gear for the last mile or so of trail that's covered in ice and snow.
